Healing
βππππππ
I have been reframing my thoughts on this word and itβs definition for awhile now as it inherently means that originally something was broken.
I no longer believe that any of us are broken, need fixing or that anything has gone βwrongβ.
I have come to believe that all of life is a journey.
That each and every experience shapes and grows us if we allow them to and that it is all meant for our highest good.
All spiritual teachings support this view of life.
βThe obstacle is the pathβ - Buddha
βAnd we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Himβ - Romans 8:28 NIV
And when we look at this philosophy from the modern spiritual view of science we know that the challenges we all face hold within them the potential to make a better life for ourselves and for the world.
This is human evolution at its core.
We need the challenges to help us identify or course correct areas of our lives where we are not aligning to our highest selves.
And so even though the word βaligningβ seems like a better fit these days, there is still a desire within me to share about healing and the beauty, transformation and guidance choosing to do brings to our lives.
To heal is to bring back into fullness.
To heal is to let go of the wounds we carry within us individually and collectively.
To heal is to return to our natural state which is the soul essence within us all.
The healing journey is really the journey of life.
We come into this world and we absorb and learn often times things that are contrary to who we really are. We often times then develop some sort of discomfort within us whether that be mentally, emotionally or physically. Just guideposts really that are pointing us in another direction. And if we choose to take the gentle path, listen to what these signs are showing us and surrender to the flow of life, we can heal the divide between what we think we know what is the expanded view of what really is.
When we go through challenges, traumas and hardships we develop a sense of what we βthinkβ has happened. It is the minds way of trying to make sense of it all. Itβs what the mind does and it does it to protect us from going through anything like that again by creating a coping strategy. The mind is simply put, a storage system that runs programs of what we think is life is all about and how we can best navigate what it throws at us. The mind stores all of our experiences, knowledge and emotional memories and when we are confronted with new experiences the mind will try to fit them into the boxes already in place within it so as to make this something familiar. Itβs how our brains function and operate and because we are still as a species only using around ten percent of our brains matter, we are still living quite primitively from a consciousness point of view.
But this is rapidly changing and healing how we see and think and do life is a part of our human evolution.
So when we take the time to become self aware (and life will always give us opportunities to do this) we give ourselves permission to slow down, take inventory of our thoughts and emotions about ourselves and our lives and begin to see where we need healing, what no longer is serving us and how we can bring ourselves into more alignment with our desired outcome, the longings of our soul and our highest good.
This is the journey.
Some of us have a very short ways to go along the healing path and some of us will be on it lifetime after lifetime. And there is beauty in it all. There is healing in it all. It can never be rushed, or faked or done perfectly. There is no right or wrong way and there really are no answers to any of it. What you will find is the perfect answers within yourself once you connect to that part of you and your own intuition which will guide your way. And to get there you will come across many who will help you along the way.
As Wayne Dyer once said βwe are all just walking each other homeβ.
And truly we are.
The healing we do within ourselves does heal the word and does create a new future for us all and those who come after us. If we choose this path, we choose to grow, ascend, change and become more.
To heal is to return to oneself.
Before the trauma.
Before the abuse.
Before the experiences that shaped us into someone we are not.
It brings us into alignment with being someone more and it allows us to see it all as a part of the process of life and of the journey through this vast and glorious universe.
